It’s been a great year at Cedar Cliff Village! Whether you were looking for a starter home or a short term vacation rental investment opportunity, you did well if you chose our community. Here's a roundup of all the progress.
8 Months from Start to Finish
Our Lot and Home packages meant you could buy and be in your new home in about eight months. If your Cedar Cliff Village home is an investment as well as your vacation home, then you did well there, too.
According to the Buncombe County FY 20-21 Annual Report:
“Local residents with vacation rental properties especially benefited from visitors returning to our community. In Fiscal Year 2021, vacation rental sales accounted for 37.5 percent of all revenue, up from 15 percent in Fiscal Year 2018."
That’s good news for residents earning incremental income from the return of visitors.
At Cedar Cliff, owners who also participated in the vacation rental program, saw a 40% occupancy rate for 2021 (January through November 30, 2021). We expect this to improve for 2022 since the vacation rental market really did not open backup until April 2021. Being within 5 minutes of the Blue Ridge Parkway, easy access to major highways without the traffic congestion and of course, 10 minutes to downtown Asheville, it’s no surprise that vacationing at a Cedar Cliff home would be a top choice for visitors to Asheville.
